OLIVER TWIST : Off to London

Noah did not like to see Oliver’s position, so he treat edOliver as badly as possible and Charlotte did too. Mrs.Sowerberry was Oliver’s enemy because she did not like to see her husband was friendly with Oliver. When Noah and Oliver were waiting for the dinner, Noah said to Oliver that her mother was a real bad one and she surely have ended up in prison or been hanged. Oliver was angry and he grabbed Noah by the throat and shook him. And everyone in the dinning room accused him that would murder Noah. Mr. Sowerberry gave Oliver a good beating indeed. Oliver took it all without a tear but he cried when he was alone. He decided to move out from the house and started off on the road to London.  In his road, a kind man gave him some bread and cheese and a kind old lady gave him her table scraps. But Oliver have died on the highway, he limped slowly into Barnet. He was too tired, the young man helped him. The young man was short, bowlegged, and had small, sharp, ugly eyes. The young man’s named Jack Dawkins, but his friends called him the Artful Dodger. The boy gave Oliver some bits of bread and ham and gave Oliver place to stay. The dodger would introduce Oliver to Jolly gentlemen that would give Oliver lodgings for nothing. Oliver thought that he had never seen a dirtier place. When the Dodger opened his place, Oliver saw the old place. There were five boys, Oliver shocked. They were smoking pipes and drinking. The other boy, Fagin gave Oliver something to drink. Soon Oliver fell into a deep sleep. When he awoke, no one was in the room but Fagin. Oliver saw Fagin had taken a sparkling gold watches, ring, bracelets and all sorts of fine jewels from a box hidden under a board in the floor. Fagin said to Oliver that were all he had to live in such a old age. Oliver thought that indeed Fagin must be a miser because with those things he could cost a good place to stay.  Suddenly, a young woman that her hair and clothes were not very neat, named Nancy came to see Fagin. Oliver had no idea what kind of work they did but he was eager to learn. After a few days, Fagin sent Oliver out with the Dodger and Charley Bates.
