Pride and Prejudice: A Letter for Elizabeth

Elizabeth met Darcy in the park when she walked alone. Darcy gave her a letter. In the letter, he told her that Bingley didn’t know if Jane was in London. He didn’t find fault in the way her and Jane behave. But the behaviour of her mother and her younger sisters shows a total lack of propriety. He also told about Mr. Wickham if his story about Darcy was wrong. He gave money to Wickham for studying law but he spent it all on other things. Then, he didn’t know if Wickham was a friend of Darcy’s sister. Darcy believe that Wickham wanted revenge on me. After she read the letter she could hardly believe what she read. She decided to read the letter again. Elizabeth became ashamed of herself. She had been blind and prejudiced about both men. Now Elizabeth believed that Bingley had never known Jane was in London. Darcy’s letter cleared Bingley of all blame. And she felt shame for her younger sisters were foolish. A few days later, Elizabeth said goodbye to Miss de Bourge and Lady Catherine. She thought if she had accepted Darcy, how Lady Catherine would have reacted. When she leave Charlotte, she felt sad.
