Logbook Reading: The Count of Monte Cristo (chaper 4 )

         One day, Dante startled to hear scraping noise from the wall. Dante suspected it sounds a prisoner was trying to dig his way out. Sound came from the wall every night, but every time Dante took stones and knocked on the wall. The scraping noise stopped. And the next day, the sound came again. Dante was curious then he used the iron handle as a tool to dig the wall. After several days of digging stones, he had a loosened a large stone. Behind the wall there was another prisoner. The prisoner was a priest named Father Faria.

         After the many years, Dante felt happy. Because he was not going to be alone. Dante and Father Faria become friend. Father Faria taught many things to Dante. Dante and Father Faria made a plan to escape. They would run away by climbing through the window their cells. But before they excute their escape, Father Faria was died. Before he dead Father Faria gave a treasure map located on the island of Moto which would own by Edmond Dantes when he passed away before he could escape. The death of his friend in prison that he used to escape. He moved the body Father Faria to his cell and into the body bag.
